The 14th annual RUN WITH WOLFES - 5k RUN/WALK
Saturday September 16, 2023 at 10AM

Dear RWW Family & Friends,

2023 marks the 14th Annual Run/Walk With Wolfes.  Together, with our golf outing, we have raised more than $1.6 million for the Eric Wolfe Brain Tumor Fellowship at the UW Cancer Center.  We are extremely proud and grateful for all of the donations that have contributed to the advancements being made by the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

This year, we will be hosting both an IN PERSON and “Run From Home,” (a virtual run/walk) on Saturday, September 16th.  We would love run/walk together whether that be in person or in spirit (through social media)! No matter how you participate, we are able to celebrate our success, remember those we have lost and honor those who are fighting and who have survived.  The cause, the unwavering dedication and camaraderie we have built together will keep us strong and focused as we continue to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Interested in doing more?  Become an event sponsor! To become an event sponsor, donate $250!  Your name and  company logo will be featured on our website. Don’t forget to follow us on our Run with Wolfes Facebook page. Also, please help us get the word out by sharing the event with your family and friends.

We truly appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you this year at the 2023 Run With Wolfes!

About Run With Wolfes

The wolf represents strength and embodiment of a wild spirit surviving on its own.  They are known for their endurance and are a symbol of stamina and strength.  The wolf enjoys freedom and individualism, but it is also gregarious and enjoys the company of others having a strong sense of family.

Much like the wolf, Run with Wolfes is a symbol of strength for all those fighting brain cancer and their families.  Run with Wolfes is a pack made from ties of affection and mutual aid to those that need it.

In 2014, it is estimated that approximately 23,300 new cases of brain tumors will be diagnosed.  Of that figure approximately 4,300 are expected to be diagnosed in children under the age of 20 years old. Brain tumors are the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children under the age of 20 and in males from ages 20 to 39, after leukemia. Brain tumors kill more people under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Brain tumor research is vastly underfunded by private and public support when compared to breast, prostate or lung cancer.

Run With Wolfes is a fun and inspiring way to join forces in the fight against brain cancer by raising funds for research. Your support gives brain cancer patients and their families the hope of being another step closer to advancing research, determining a successful method of early detection and discovering a cure.

We are approved as a charitable non-profit organization under Chapter 501(c)3.
