Run With Wolfes - Eric Wolfe Brain Tumor Professorship

Our story begins in 1999, Jerry & Nancy Wolfe began a golf outing to raise funds for research in the memory of their son, Eric Wolfe, who they lost to brain cancer.

Friends and family suggested we do something special to keep Eric’s memory alive.  This is how Golf Fore Wolfe & A Cure (GFW) began, with the primary goal of raising funds for medical advancements and research and to grow awareness. We have devoted the past 24 years to raising money so brain tumor patients will have a better chance to extend their life.  Eric received his treatment at the UW Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, Wisconsin and therefore we have designated this great clinical and research facility as the recipient of our efforts.

In 2010, Eric's sister, Cara, decided to extend the efforts to include a run/walk.  Before Eric passed away, he often encourage his family and friends to participate in running and walking for cancer causes so it felt right to start this “sister” event…Run with Wolfes (RWW).  Run with Wolfes is in its 14th year of supporting brain cancer research.

Through generous gifts from individuals and company sponsorships, Golf Fore Wolfe and it’s “Sister Event” - Run With Wolfes, have raised approximately $1,600,000 to date!

What makes this event different…it is about family, a sense of community and connection and making a difference for brain cancer patients.  We have a passion to raise money for brain cancer research.  We hope you will join us in the cause…WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!
